Once Upon a Time...

Mint a mesében... A Bambara Hotel régóta a kedvencem. Amikor tehetjük ellátogatunk, hogy nyugalomban, pihenéssel tölthessünk pár napot. Szerda este érkeztünk. A szobában friss gyümölcs, egy tálca – már kinézetre is ínycsiklandozó - finom falat, és pezsgő várt. Nyugtató színek, hangulatos fények, és puha párnák közt hajtottuk álomra a fejünket.

Like in a fairy-tale… The Bambara Hotel has long been my favorite. Whenever we can, we visit this place to spend a few relaxing days in peace. We arrived on Wednesday evening. In the room, fresh fruit, mouth-watering snacks and champagne were waiting for us. We fell into a slumber among relaxing colors, intimate lights and cozy pillows.

Másnap a királyi reggeli után azonnal belevetettük magunkat a wellness örömeibe. A Bambara Spa misztikus hangulata azonnali feltöltődést ígért. Játékos kisgyermekként vetettem bele magam a legelső medencébe, majd sorra próbáltuk ki a szaunákat, az infrakunyhót, az élményzuhanyt, később pedig a herbáriumkunyhó afrikai szavannák melegét idéző falai között levendula, rozmaring és kamilla illatától bódulva hosszasan relaxáltunk.

On the next day, after having a royal breakfast, we immediately jumped into the delights of wellness. The mystical mood of Bambara Spa promised immediate refreshment. As a playful child, I have hopped into the very fist pool. Then we tried the series of saunas, the infra cabin as well as the spa experience. Later on, we got stunned by the aromas of lavender, rosemary and camomile, while we were relaxing for long among the herbarium cabin’s walls that summoned the heat of the African savannas.

A barlangfürdőben a víz tükre boldogan verte vissza a színesen pompázó lámpák fényét, a falról lezúduló víz pedig gyöngéden masszírozta a hátamat. Egy-egy vízzuhatag mögött megbújó kis öbölben párok beszélgettek, szülők játszottak a gyermekeikkel, nagymamák és nagypapák tanítgatták úszni unokáikat. Mi is elbújtunk egy ilyen romantikus kis odúban, és az idő múlását elfeledve csak egymásra figyeltünk. Sajnos ritkán van ilyen. Telefoncsörgés és egyéb elektronikus kütyük nélkül romantikáztunk, megbeszéltük az élet nagy dolgait, régi emlékeket idéztünk fel, és felhőtlenül nevettünk. Csak mi ketten.

In the cave bath, the mirroring surface of the water happily reflected the glow of the colorful lights, and the water that was falling from the wall gently massaged my back. In the tiny coves behind the cascades, couples chatted, parents played with their children, grandmothers and grandfathers were taught their grandchildren to swim. We also went into hiding in such a romantic little haven, and we totally lost our sense of time, focusing on each other. We romanticized without phone ringing and other electronic gadgets. We had a chance to discuss the great things of life, brought up old memories, and we laughed without hindrance. Just the two of us.

Hogy férjemet idézzem, én mindig éhes vagyok... És talán, de tényleg csak talán, van benne némi igazság! Két Bambara burger és egy-egy Aperol spritz tárasaságában leültünk, majd figyelmünket elvonta a medencében fürdőzők nevetése. Nagymamák, nagypapák, szülők, gyerekek: mindenki együtt sikongatott az örvénylő víz játékos hullámain. Szívmelengető érzés töltött el.

As my husband always says, I am always hungry… Maybe, and only maybe, there is some truth in it. We sat down with two Bambara burgers and one Aperol spritz, and our attention was drawn to the laughter coming from the pool. Grandmothers, grandfathers, parents, children: everyone enjoyed the frisky waves of the swirling water. It was a heart-warming experience.

Ebéd után a Száhel wellnessben folytattunk a napunkat. A tetőszinten egy gyermekmentes, csendes, erdei övezet fogadott minket. Itt találtam rá kedvenc helyemre, ahonnan legszívesebben ki sem jöttem volna: egy üvegfalú panoráma szauna, mely már ránézésre is elvarázsolt, belépve pedig azonnal éreztem, hogy ez az én helyem! A gyönyörű kilátás a szauna által nyújtott élménnyel együtt maga a tökéletesség! Feltöltődtem, majd egy szabadtéri pezsgőfürdőből csodáltam a szálloda ősfás parkját.

After lunch we continued our day in the Sahelian Wellness. On the roof level, a child-free, quiet and wooded area welcomed us. I found my favorite place here, which I did not even want to leave: It was a panoramic sauna with glass walls, which was enchanted me  only by looking at it. After entering the sauna, I immediately felt that this was my place! The gorgeous view along with the sauna experience is perfection itself. I was refreshed and then admired ancient trees in the hotel’s park from an outdoor hot tub.

A Száhel pihenő terében csend és tea fogadott. Olvasásra, teljes kikapcsolódásra a legjobb hely, amit valaha láttam. Elvesztettem az időérzékemet, és az üvegfalon kinézve arra eszméltem, hogy a fák már sötétségbe burkolóztak.

Silence and a tea were waiting for me in the resting area of the Sahelian. This is the best place for reading or complete relaxation I have ever seen. I lost my sense of time again. When I looked through the glass wall, I had to realize that darkness fell on the trees already.

Vacsoránkat a Csillag étteremben fogyasztottuk el, ahol kifejezetten pároknak külön kis boxokat alakítottak ki, gyertyafénnyel és romantikus hangulattal. A svédasztal roskadozott a finomabbnál finomabb ételektől, halaktól, levesektől, zöldségektől, tésztáktól, húsoktól, desszertektől, és gyermekeknek szánt finomságoktól. Az afrikai különlegességeket most sem hagytam ki, és mint mindig, a tökéletességet éreztem minden egyes falaton és minden mozzanaton.

We had dinner at the Star Restaurant. Here, there were small boxes with candle lights and romantic atmosphere, especially designed for couples. The buffet was flooded with the finest dishes. There were fishes, soups, veggies, pasta, meats, desserts, and delicacies for children. I did not miss the African specialties this time either. As always, I felt perfection on every bite and move.

A Mali játszóházban pingpong ütőt ragadtunk, és egy nagyon komoly meccs után a a Kroko bárban proseccoval zártuk a napot. Kellemes zene szólt, Bizsu táncolt a gyerekekkel, mi pedig örömmel koccintottunk erre a nyugalmas, mégis tartalmas, élményekkel teli napra. Szobánkban kipihenten huppantunk a friss ágyneműbe, és a Bambara TV-n játszott Disney mesére vártuk az álommanót.

In the Mali Playhouse, we grabbed ping pong bats. After a very serious match, we closed the day with a Prosecco in the Kroko bar. The music was pleasant, and “Bizsu”, the meerkat, was dancing with the children. We happily clinked our glasses for this calm, yet meaningful day that was full of experiences. In our room, we hopped into the fresh bedsheets, and waited for the sleep fairy while watching a Disney cartoon on Bambara TV.

Reggeli után sétáltunk egyet a szálloda hatalmas kertjében, felfedeztük a Bükki Rejtélyparkot, a Majomerdőt, és találkozhattunk a park közepén élő törpe kengurukkal is. A bárban még leültünk megpihenni, majd elbúcsúztunk a Bambara Hotel hangulatos, nyugalmat árasztó falaitól. 

After breakfast, we walked in the hotel’s huge garden. We discovered the Mystery Park of the Bükk Mountains, the Ape Forest, and we met the wallabies living in the middle of the park. At the bar we sat down to rest for one more time, and then we left the cozy and tranquil walls of the Bambara Hotel.
